Stuttering [stammering] - what does this mean

Stuttering (or stammering) is a speech disorder in which the normal flow of speech is disrupted by involuntary repetitions and prolongations of sounds, syllables, words, or phrases, and involuntary silent pauses or blocks in which the person is unable to produce sounds. it is usually caused by a combination of physical and psychological factors, such as genetics, neurophysiological differences, speech and language development, and environmental and emotional stress.

What happens during the disease - stuttering [stammering]
